Enterprise Brokerage Inc. was incorporated in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada to provide the business community in Nova Scotia and throughout Atlantic Canada with a quality business intermediary.

It has been reported that approximately one out of every four businesses in North America can be expected to change hands every five years. However buying or selling a business is not a simple matter. The principals of Enterprise Brokerage have experienced the difficulty faced by business owners in effectively and quietly locating interested and able buyers for their businesses. We also know how frustrating it can be for an interested buyer to locate a good business to buy.

We can assist the business owner in determining a reasonable price for the business, followed by the marketing of the business to serious and qualified buyers on a confidential basis. We can introduce the business buyer to businesses that fit the buyer's pre-determined criteria, with the assurance of our efforts to obtain complete and accurate information about each business.

Services Provided

Listing Businesses for Sale - We list businesses for sale on a commission basis. Our marketing activities for the businesses can be open or discreet, depending on the owner's confidentiality requirements.

Assisting Business Owner Sales Efforts - On a fee for service basis we assist the business owner in marketing and other activities, including preparation of sale prospectuses, preparing marketing material, contacting prospective purchasers, advertising for and screening buyers, conducting negotiations with buyers etc.

Locating Businesses to Buy - We can be engaged by prospective business buyers to conduct searches for suitable businesses that meet their criteria.

Due Diligence Investigations - We can be retained to conduct the due diligence investigation of a business on behalf of a buyer, investor or lender.

Assistance in Securing Financing - We will sometimes provide assistance to a buyer in obtaining financing for the purchase of the business.

Assistance in Pricing - We do not hold ourselves out as being professional business valuators and prefer to see such valuators hired as required. However we will sometimes provide our opinion about the reasonableness of proposed pricing of businesses.

Business Consulting - We can be engaged to provide consulting to business owners or prospective buyers on issues relating to the purchase and sale of a business, including such matters as preparing a business for sale, estate planning prior to selling a business, structuring a purchase and sale transaction etc.
