What is Enterprise Brokerage?

Enterprise Brokerage Inc. is a full-service business brokerage company. Based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, we assist business owners with the marketing and sale of their businesses. We are also engaged by prospective business purchasers to assist them in locating suitable businesses to buy. Our expertise may also be sought on a consulting basis by business owners or buyers on issues related to the purchase and sale of businesses.

Our Principals

James Enman, our President, began a career as a business lawyer in 1982 and has been involved in the purchase and sale of dozens of businesses in Atlantic Canada. His legal experience includes the hundreds of incorporations, amalgamations, mergers, corporate reorganizations, public offerings, venture capital investments, financings of up to $70 million, franchising, technology transfers and licensing, estate and tax planning, and more. He has a B.A. from Acadia University and an LL.B. from Dalhousie University. He is a member of the Nova Scotia Barristers Society and the Law Society of Upper Canada.

William Frank, our Broker, began a lengthy career in the foodservice industry at age 16 and became the President of one of the largest franchised fast food and full-service restaurant operations in Atlantic Canada. He was involved in establishing and managing the first franchised business brokerage in Atlantic Canada and has been licensed as a real estate broker in Nova Scotia since 1986. His experience includes three years as the Vice-President, Brokerage Division, of a major Atlantic Canadian commercial real estate brokerage company. +

Peter Stout, our Associate Broker, has provided leadership as a senior executive for over thirty years in various business settings in the Maritimes. He has worked in a number of different roles, including business sales, management consultant, project manager, energy contracting and logistics management. Peter holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree and Business Management Certificate from Dalhousie University. He is a registered professional engineer and is licensed as an Associate Broker under the Nova Scotia Real Estate Trading Act.
